As a Bend chiropractor with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Olson offers an array of chiropractic methods & techniques.  Chiropractic treatments start with a proper diagnosis followed by holistic, whole body treatments.

How does the doctor make a diagnosis?

As part of your chiropractic treatment, the doctor will use a computer assisted physical diagnostic and treatment instrument called a Professional Adjuster.  This instrument uses technology borrowed from the aerospace industry to analyze motion of the spinal segments.  Motion frequencies are displayed on the computer screen which allows the doctor to use his experience and training to determine which specific segment needs to move and what to leave alone.

If x-rays are a need, the doctor is able to administer them on-site. These digital x-rays can be sent to other healthcare professionals as diagnostic tools.

What Chiropractic treatment methods do you use?

Dr. Olson uses a culmination of chiropractic treatment methods, depending on each patient’s individual needs.  These chiropractic methods include the Palmar Method, the diversified technique, drop table techniques, and professional computerized instrument adjustments. Dr. Olson has a proven system of healing that works with the whole person. These scientific adjustments allow your brain to freely communicate the healthy nerve signals to your body.

When Dr. Olson finds a disturbance in the body, he will then check the corresponding vertebrae in your back for nerve interference, known as a subluxation.

Subluxation is a spinal misalignment causing nerve impingement, which interferes with the vital signals traveling to your organs and tissues and cells. This impingement decreases function by interfering with the healthy nerve signals, the Life Force traveling from your brain to the body.

You may or may not have any symptoms or awareness of a subluxation/ disturbance… so it is very important for you and your family’s health to get checked, you will be happy you did!

Do you offer other services with chiropractic adjustments?

Yes, patients have the option to start their appointments warming up their backs on wobble chairs. These chairs help increase healthy spinal fluids in the back while warming up the body prior to being adjusted.

Patients also have the option to lay on inter-segment traction tables while having electrical stimulation and low level lasers, used as adjunctive physical therapy modalities to help re-train the body and accelerate healing.

Massage therapy is available to patients by experienced LMTs that have training in therapeutic and deep tissue massage. The techniques used aim to reduce inflammation, increase range of motion, break up adhesions, and promote wellness.

Swiss balls, stretching, and proper lifting and motion patterns are prescribe on an individual basis.
